The rules for submitting abstracts have been determined by the Congress Organizing Committee. Abstracts for studies to be presented as oral presentations during the Congress can only be submitted via the Online Abstract Module at www.globalmaritimecongress.org

Abstract submission will open on February 23, 2026 and will close on April 6, 2026, at 17:00. Until this deadline, authors may request changes to the content or author order of their abstracts, or withdraw their abstracts entirely.

When preparing oral presentation abstracts, please ensure the following:

  • Abstracts should be written in clear scientific English, avoiding spelling or grammatical errors.
  • Academic titles should not be included in author names.
  • Author names should be written with only the first letter capitalized; all other letters should be lowercase.
  • The institutions of all authors must be clearly indicated.
  • List author names in the order they appear in the study, and indicate the presenting author in the “Presenter” field.
  • Provide complete contact information for the presenting author.
  • Abstracts must follow the standard structure: Background/Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
  • The abstract title should have only the first letter capitalized (abbreviations are exempt).
  • If abbreviations are used in the abstract, their full form should be provided in parentheses.
  • Classify the study according to the relevant main topic(s).
  • Clearly state the study’s aim and methods, summarize results with sufficient numerical details, and present conclusions based on the findings.
  • The text of the abstract (excluding author information and title) must not exceed 500 words.
  • Include 3 keywords describing your study.
